Trata-se do\u00a0FINA Champions Swim Series, que busca mesclar o esporte competitivo com o lucrativo mercado do entretenimento. A competi\u00e7\u00e3o, que ainda n\u00e3o tem locais definidos, ser\u00e1 disputada em tr\u00eas etapas durante os meses de mar\u00e7o e maio de 2019 reunindo as principais estrelas da nata\u00e7\u00e3o internacional entre medalhistas ol\u00edmpicos e mundiais, recordistas mundiais e l\u00edderes do ranking mundial.<\/p>\n<p>No FINA Champions Swim Series ser\u00e3o oferecidas as provas de 50m, 100m e 200m de todos os estilos a serem realizadas sempre em piscina de 50 metros em at\u00e9 tr\u00eas dias de competi\u00e7\u00e3o sempre aos fins de semana, de sexta a domingo. No programa da competi\u00e7\u00e3o, que ter\u00e1 apenas finais, os quatro melhores nadadores de cada prova v\u00e3o competir individualmente e tamb\u00e9m haver\u00e1 disputas em revezamento. Ao todo a entidade vai pagar US$ 3,9 milh\u00f5es em premia\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo US$ 2,4 milh\u00f5es para premia\u00e7\u00e3o individual e US$ 648 mil em disputas de revezamento. Segundo Julio Maglione, presidente da FINA, &#8220;a nova competi\u00e7\u00e3o al\u00e9m de inovar a modalidade ir\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m valorizar as estrelas da nata\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Vale lembrar que a competi\u00e7\u00e3o Energy for Swim, que aconteceria no final deste m\u00eas na It\u00e1lia, foi cancelada causando uma rusga entre a FINA e os principais atletas internacionais. O evento, que tamb\u00e9m premiaria os nadadores com dinheiro, acabou n\u00e3o recebendo a autoriza\u00e7\u00e3o da FINA e a entidade ainda amea\u00e7ou suspender quem se interessasse em nadar o campeonato.
