Ap\u00f3s atravessar a nado o Canal da Mancha, a Volta a Ilha de Manhattan e a Travessia Hernandarias-Paran\u00e1, o experiente nadador de \u00e1guas abertas inicia amanh\u00e3 seu mais novo desafio: a Travessia do Canal de Catalina, estreito de \u00e1gua que separa a Ilha de Catalina da costa oeste dos Estados Unidos que tem cerca de 36 km de percurso.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A prova \u00e9 uma das mais dif\u00edceis e exigentes do mundo. Afinal at\u00e9 hoje foram poucos os atletas que conseguiram registrar esse feito, entre eles dois brasileiros: Dailza dos Santos em 1993 e Adherbal Oliveira que atravessou o Canal em julho deste ano. A Travessia do Canal de Catalina conta com muitas particularidades. Uma delas \u00e9 a recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o de iniciar a prova a noite devido a presen\u00e7a de tubar\u00f5es e muitos peixes na regi\u00e3o. Como na escurid\u00e3o noturna o nadador n\u00e3o atrair\u00e1 tanta aten\u00e7\u00e3o da vida marinha, esse per\u00edodo \u00e9 o mais indicado para fazer a travessia. Por\u00e9m, aparecem outras dificuldades como a \u00e1gua gelada, as fortes correntes e a falta de visibilidade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Samir sabe que esta n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma travessia comum e vem se preparando a meses para conseguir concluir este objetivo. \u201cNadar a noite em mar aberto ser\u00e1 uma experi\u00eancia bem diferente e isto \u00e9 um fator que me atrai nessa prova, algo que as outras que j\u00e1 realizei n\u00e3o tem. Minha preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 acertar muito bem a hidrata\u00e7\u00e3o para n\u00e3o ter enjoos. Tamb\u00e9m fiz quatro treinos espec\u00edficos simulando a nata\u00e7\u00e3o em per\u00edodo noturno, conta o nadador que tamb\u00e9m procurou ouvir a experi\u00eancia de Adherbal para encarar este nova desafio. \u201cConversei com ele e pude tirar algumas duvidas e receios que tinha. E o segundo, \u00e9 mostrar para as pessoas que Todos Somos Capazes, um lema que carrego comigo, superar obst\u00e1culos inimagin\u00e1veis e estimular qualquer pessoa a superar seus desafios particulares\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Samir come\u00e7a a nadar a Travessia do Canal de Catalina a partir das 23h desta quarta-feira (3h da manh\u00e3 no hor\u00e1rio de Bras\u00edlia) e chegar\u00e1 ao seu destino na manh\u00e3 de quinta-feira.
