Aconteceu neste s\u00e1bado no posto 6 da Praia de Copacabana um evento em homenagem aos quatro nadadores que j\u00e1 conseguiram atravessar a nado a travessia do Leme ao Pontal, um trecho de 35 km que liga estes dois pontos da cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Organizado pelo Leme to Pontal Swimming Association (LPSA) Luiz Lima, Adherbal Oliveira, Paulo Amaral e Patr\u00edcia Farias receberam trof\u00e9us e certificados de reconhecimento.<\/p>\n

Tudo come\u00e7ou em 2008 quando Luiz Lima resolveu homenagear Tim Maia e divulgar as \u00e1guas abertas ao decidir nadar entre os dois pontos famosos do Rio de Janeiro. \u201cMinha \u00fanica inten\u00e7\u00e3o era transformar esta travessia do Rio t\u00e3o emblem\u00e1tica quanto, por exemplo, a do Canal da Mancha. Ou pelo menos, muito emblem\u00e1tica a n\u00edvel nacional. Mas a Travessia do Leme ao Pontal tamb\u00e9m pode ser muito dif\u00edcil de ser conclu\u00edda, porque a gente nunca sabe as condi\u00e7\u00f5es do vento ou do mar, voc\u00ea pode enfrentar uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o adversa e, por isso, pode ser muito dif\u00edcil tamb\u00e9m\u201d, conta. O atual Secret\u00e1rio de Alto Rendimento do Minist\u00e9rio dos Esportes ainda elogiou a LPSA. \u201cHoje a associa\u00e7\u00e3o tem como finalidade fazer da prova a mais grandiosa poss\u00edvel valorizando o feito do atleta e dando seguran\u00e7a para o atleta, que \u00e9 o mais importante\u201d, finaliza.<\/p>\n

O segundo atleta a concluir este percurso foi Adherbal de Oliveira. Na \u00e9poca ele estava treinando para encarar o Canal da Mancha e como forma de prepara\u00e7\u00e3o resolveu simular uma prova semelhante como teste e decidiu fazer a prova Do Leme ao Pontal. Hoje atuando como secret\u00e1rio da LPSA afirma que pretende ajudar na massifica\u00e7\u00e3o das \u00e1guas abertas do Brasil. \u201cMinha maior motiva\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 fomentar a modalidade e divulgar as belezas naturais do Rio, al\u00e9m de despertar o instinto de desafio dos atletas\u201d, conta.<\/p>\n

Terceiro atleta a cruzar a nado esta prova e tamb\u00e9m homenageado no evento, Paulo Amaral disse que as belezas naturais do Rio s\u00e3o um atrativo a mais para quem for encarar o desafio. \u201cRecomendo que os atletas fa\u00e7am essa travessia porque al\u00e9m de ser desafiador para qualquer nadador \u00e9 um percurso muito bonito e privilegiado, por passar por pontos bel\u00edssimos da cidade do Rio de Janeiro\u201d, conta o nadador que n\u00e3o descartou no futuro fazer o trajeto em ida e volta.<\/p>\n

Primeira e \u00fanica mulher a ter realizado essa prova at\u00e9 hoje, Patr\u00edcia Farias afirmou que sua conquista representa a forma feminina e tamb\u00e9m que o desafio esta a alcance de qualquer pessoa que treinar e mostrar comprometimento. \u201cEu sempre tive esse sonho de realizar a prova e quando acompanhei a travessia do Adherbal em 2015, fui desafiada pelo meu t\u00e9cnico (Renato Ribeiro) a nada-la. Topei na hora e treinei muito para conseguir esse feito\u201d, relembra a nadadora que concluiu sua prova este ano.<\/p>\n

Renato Ribeiro, presidente da LPSA, afirma que o objetivo da institui\u00e7\u00e3o agora \u00e9 ajudar no crescimento das longas provas de \u00e1guas abertas no Brasil. \u201cEspero fazer da LPSA uma grande associa\u00e7\u00e3o no Brasil e com reconhecimento internacional como as grandes associa\u00e7\u00f5es. Espero que essa modalidade de ultramaratona aqu\u00e1tica cres\u00e7a no Rio e no Brasil\u201d, afirma o tamb\u00e9m t\u00e9cnico da equipe Navegantes que tamb\u00e9m espera ver novos atletas realizando o desafio em breve.<\/p>\n

Para o futuro j\u00e1 candidatos para desbravar esta prova e fazer parte deste seleto grupo. \u201cAinda este ano uma equipe de revezamento da LL Gladiadores formada por Humberto C\u00e9sar, Jos\u00e9 Get\u00falio, Marcelo Nissenbaum, Georges Louis Lezaun e o pioneiro Luiz Lima vai tentar em novembro ser a primeira equipe em revezamento a fazer o trajeto. Em dezembro o amazonense Vitor Gadelha tamb\u00e9m pretende fazer a travessia e uma equipe de nadadores de S\u00e3o Paulo estuda sua realizar a prova de revezamento\u201d, finaliza Adherbal.<\/p>\n
