O campeonato, considerado o mais tradicional da nata\u00e7\u00e3o de base do Brasil vai at\u00e9 o s\u00e1bado (12). Ser\u00e3o ao todo 316 atletas de 19 equipes, sendo 16 de federa\u00e7\u00f5es estaduais e outras tr\u00eas internacionais: as sele\u00e7\u00f5es de Paraguai, Chile e Uruguai.<\/p>\n<p>O torneio foi\u00a0 criado em 1969 como um evento para nadadores do interior paulista e com o passar dos anos tornou-se um torneio nacional e depois internacional para atletas das categorias infantil (13 e 14 anos de idade) e juvenil (15 e 16 anos). A disputa n\u00e3o \u00e9 entre clubes e sim entre federa\u00e7\u00f5es estaduais, sendo que cada sele\u00e7\u00e3o pode inscrever at\u00e9 oito atletas de cada sexo na categoria infantil e mais oito atletas de cada sexo no juvenil.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12081\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12081\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-12081 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/71Q7248.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/71Q7248.jpg 960w, https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/71Q7248-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12081\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Murilo Sartori (ao centro) \u00e9 um dos maiores vencedores do evento &#8211; Foto: Satiro Sodr\u00e9\/CBDA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>O Torneio, realizado na piscina da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Esportiva Mocoquense, j\u00e1 revelou grandes nomes que despontaram para o cen\u00e1rio nacional e internacional, como\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/atleta\/cesar-cielo-filho\/\">Cesar Cielo<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/atleta\/thiago-pereira\/\">Thiago Pereira<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/atleta\/etiene-medeiros\/\">Etiene Medeiros<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swimchannel.net\/br\/atleta\/joanna-maranhao\/\">Joanna Maranh\u00e3o<\/a>\u00a0entre outros. Em t\u00edtulos a sele\u00e7\u00e3o paulista \u00e9 a maior vencedora de todos os tempos com 25 ta\u00e7as.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2019 a sele\u00e7\u00e3o de S\u00e3o Paulo busca manter a hegemonia com o 26\u00ba t\u00edtulo da competi\u00e7\u00e3o e manter a sequ\u00eancia de t\u00edtulos que perdura desde 2001. Dos 32 atletas da equipe, 11 s\u00e3o veteranos e 21 s\u00e3o estreantes. Na edi\u00e7\u00e3o passada, S\u00e3o Paulo conquistou seu 17\u00ba t\u00edtulo consecutivo com 540 pontos, contra 306 do Rio de Janeiro. Tornou-se o primeiro atleta no masculino a ser quatro vezes campe\u00e3o em duas provas: 200m e 400m livre.
