Rogerio Karfulkenstein, conhecido tamb\u00e9m como “Kafu”, foi o t\u00e9cnico mais vitorioso da \u00faltima edi\u00e7\u00e3o do Desafio Rei e Rainha do Mar, maior evento de esportes de praia do Brasil que foi realizada domingo no Posto 6 da Praia de Copacabana, no Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n

A edi\u00e7\u00e3o comemorativa de dez anos da competi\u00e7\u00e3o coroou o ex-atleta e t\u00e9cnico respons\u00e1vel pelos dois campe\u00f5es das provas de Challenge (5 km) e Super Challenge (10 km): Guilherme Costa e Matheus Avellar respectivamente. Kafu, que foi eleito o melhor treinador do Brasil e da Am\u00e9rica do Sul em 2017, tem no uso da sua metodologia pr\u00f3pria o grande diferencial dos dois atletas que representam o Minas T\u00eanis Clube nas principais competi\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

Guilherme Costa \u00e9 o atual recordista sul-americano dos 400m, 800m e 1500m livre, marcas que atingiu recentemente na disputa do US Open em Atlanta. O Cachorr\u00e3o superou o grande nadador de \u00e1guas abertas\u00a0Allan do Carmo<\/a> em uma chegada emocionante na disputa dos 5 km no Challenge. Guilherme superou Allan por apenas dois segundos: 56min51s contra 56min53s do advers\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n

Matheus Avellar \u00e9 uma das grande revela\u00e7\u00f5es da nata\u00e7\u00e3o de fundo do Brasil, tendo representado o pa\u00eds na disputa do \u00faltimo Campeonato Mundial J\u00fanior de Budapeste em agosto. No Rei e Rainha do Mar ele nadou a prova do Super Challenge de 10 km e superou os dois dos favoritos ao t\u00edtulo, os veteranos Artur Pedroza e Luiz Felipe Lebeis. Matheus foi o \u00fanico nadador da competi\u00e7\u00e3o a completar a maratona aqu\u00e1tica abaixo das duas horas de prova com o tempo total de\u00a01h59min25s.<\/p>\n

Kafu \u00e9 um nome bastante conhecido no meio aqu\u00e1tico. Foi nadador durante muitos anos entre as d\u00e9cadas de 90 e anos 2000. Era especialista do nado peito, com grande destaque para os 50 e 100 metros. Ao longo de sua carreira Kafu conquistou diversas medalhas em campeonatos nacionais como no Trof\u00e9u Brasil e Trof\u00e9u Jos\u00e9 Finkel, al\u00e9m de integrar a sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira em eventos internacionais como Campeonatos Sul-Americanos e etapas da Copa do Mundo da FINA. Ele deixou a nata\u00e7\u00e3o competitiva em 2007 ap\u00f3s um resultado positivo em exame antidoping.<\/p>\n

Ap\u00f3s o fim da carreira de nadador passou e trabalhar como t\u00e9cnico de nata\u00e7\u00e3o e chegou a sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira absoluta em 2017 quando integrou a comiss\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica da equipe que esteve no Campeonato Mundial de Esportes Aqu\u00e1ticos de Budapeste.
