Natural de Votorantim, no interior de S\u00e3o Paulo, o nadador Marcos Salvador de Oliveira de 39 anos atravessou no dia 8 de outubro o Estreito de Gibraltar, uma faixa de \u00e1gua de aproximadamente 16 km que separa a Europa da regi\u00e3o norte do continente africano. Em 3h43min ele concluiu o percurso e estabeleceu o novo recorde brasileiro na travessia. Outro dado curioso \u00e9 que ele completou a prova exatos 50 anos depois de Abilio Couto, o primeiro brasileiro a atravessar o Estreito de Gibraltar a nado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Marcos tem muita experi\u00eancia em provas de \u00e1guas abertas, afinal, s\u00e3o 16 anos nadando grandes dist\u00e2ncias e vinha h\u00e1 muito tempo treinando para encarar este desafio. \u201cA prepara\u00e7\u00e3o foi intensa, foram v\u00e1rias provas de longas dist\u00e2ncias, algumas de 10 km. Realizei uma travessia em mar aberto de 25 km em 7h03min em mar\u00e7o, saindo de S\u00e3o Vicente at\u00e9 a Praia da Enseada no Guaruj\u00e1. Treino seis dias por semana e a cada 15 dias nado em uma represa\u201d, conta o atleta que se tornou o s\u00e9timo brasileiro a concluir esta que \u00e9 uma das travessias mais antigas de todos os tempos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fmarcos.salvadordeoliveira%2Fvideos%2F1218935414816746%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sobre atravessar os 16 km do Estreito, Marcos afirmou que a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 emocionante, \u00fanica. \u201cPode aparecer exagero, mas concluir o Estreito de Gibraltar foi como ganhar uma medalha de ouro numa Olimp\u00edada. \u00c9 a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de um sonho, j\u00e1 que tinha a ideia de fazer a travessia desde 2011 e este \u00e9 um grande projeto que deu muito certo\u201d, conta o nadador que realizou pizzadas, almo\u00e7os, rifas e eventos para angariar fundos para sua travessia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Com essa miss\u00e3o cumprida, Marcos j\u00e1 come\u00e7a a tra\u00e7ar novos planos para sua carreira. \u201cAinda quero fazer mais algumas travessias longas aqui no Brasil. Vou participar dia 12 da Travessia 14 bis (prova de 24 km) e em dezembro nado na Represa de Itupararanga (26 km).
