A defesa do nadador do Pinheiros e sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira contestavam a puni\u00e7\u00e3o de um ano imposta no julgamento realizado as v\u00e9speras do Campeonato Mundial de Gwangju. O resultado anunciado hoje foi o melhor poss\u00edvel para o nadador: absolvido por completo.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel Santos havia testado positivo para Clostebol em teste surpresa realizado em maio do ano passado. O nadador teve seu caso analisado pela FINA na v\u00e9spera do in\u00edcio do Campeonato Mundial sendo inicialmente suspenso por oito meses. Alguns dias depois, a FINA reviu a puni\u00e7\u00e3o e anunciou a suspens\u00e3o por 12 meses iniciando em julho de 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Atrav\u00e9s do advogado Bichara Neto um processo de apela\u00e7\u00e3o foi encaminhado ao CAS\/TAS, analisado no final do ano e esper\u00e1vamos tal resposta desde o m\u00eas passado. Veio com atrav\u00e9s de um boletim indicando que a suspens\u00e3o de um ano e todo processo foi cancelado. Depois reduzido de dois anos para um ano de suspens\u00e3o por entender que n\u00e3o havia sido uma \u201cculpa grave\u201d. Mesmo assim, o Tribunal da FINA imp\u00f4s a suspens\u00e3o de 12 meses entendendo que Gabriel havia cometido uma infra\u00e7\u00e3o de neglig\u00eancia ao usando a mesma toalha do irm\u00e3o que estava utilizando uma pomada com a subst\u00e2ncia proibida.<\/p>\n<p>Na decis\u00e3o do CAS\/TAS publicada hoje, a opini\u00e3o contestou a decis\u00e3o da FINA reconhecendo a completa inoc\u00eancia do nadador acolhendo a defesa de Gabriel por unanimidade.
