A competi\u00e7\u00e3o, que acontece anualmente, ser\u00e1 disputada no formato de duplas, cada atleta ter\u00e1 que concluir tr\u00eas voltas de 500m, 450m de nata\u00e7\u00e3o e 50m de corrida para a troca de bast\u00e3o, totalizando seis voltas. Os homens abrem a disputa e as mulheres encerram.\u00a0Copacabana tamb\u00e9m se reencontrar\u00e1 com tr\u00eas nadadores que se consagraram e ganharam medalhas nas \u00e1guas da praia em agosto durante os Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos do Rio-2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Primeira nadadora brasileira a subir ao p\u00f3dio ol\u00edmpico, Poliana Okimoto ser\u00e1 uma das medalhistas ol\u00edmpicas em a\u00e7\u00e3o. Medalha de bronze no Rio-2016, ela repete a parceria do ano passado com Allan do Carmo que em 2015 terminou em quinto lugar. A nadadora tamb\u00e9m foi homenageada pela organiza\u00e7\u00e3o do Rei e Rainha do Mar, que lan\u00e7ou a prova de super challenge com a dist\u00e2ncia de 10 km justamente para honrar Poliana. Al\u00e9m deles o Brasil ter\u00e1 uma segunda dupla formada por Betina Lorscheiter e Luis Rog\u00e9rio Arapiraca.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Al\u00e9m da presen\u00e7a de Poliana outra grande atra\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 Ferry Weertman, campe\u00e3o ol\u00edmpico da prova no Rio-2016. Em agosto durante os Jogos o holand\u00eas fez uma prova extremante estrat\u00e9gica para crescer no final e conquistar a medalha de ouro em sua primeira prova nas \u00e1guas de Copacabana. Sua parceira ser\u00e1 a jovem Esmee Vermeuten, de apenas 20 anos, que esteve na Olimp\u00edada para integrar o time holand\u00eas na prova do revezamento 4x200m livre em piscina.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Outra medalhista que estar\u00e1 em a\u00e7\u00e3o na Praia de Copacabana ser\u00e1 Rachele Bruni, vice-campe\u00e3 no Rio-2016. A italiana foi uma das protagonistas da pol\u00eamica chegada da prova ol\u00edmpica, quando foi afundada por Aur\u00e9lie M\u00fcller no p\u00f3rtico de chegada que culminou com a desclassifica\u00e7\u00e3o da francesa. O nadador\u00a0Dario Verani ser\u00e1 seu parceiro.
