Acabou a espera. A Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Nata\u00e7\u00e3o (Fina) anunciou ontem os vencedores do pr\u00eamio de melhores atletas das modalidades aqu\u00e1ticas em 2016. A cerim\u00f4nia aconteceu no Ceasar’s Hotel , palco da 4\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o do Congresso Internacional da entidade, na cidade de Windsor, onde tem in\u00edcio amanh\u00e3 o Campeonato Mundial de piscina curta. O\u00a0“Soir\u00e9e des Etoiles” \u00e9 um evento onde os atletas premiados recebem suas honras, discursam para o p\u00fablico e participam de um jantar de gala. Para premiar os atletas das seis modalidades aqu\u00e1ticas, a entidade utilzia uma tabela de pontos com crit\u00e9rios j\u00e1 estabelecidos. Na nata\u00e7\u00e3o a campanha nos Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos do Rio-2016 fez a diferen\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

No masculino n\u00e3o haviam muitas d\u00favidas sobre a consagra\u00e7\u00e3o de Michael Phelps. O maior atleta ol\u00edmpico da hist\u00f3ria j\u00e1 havia sido eleito pela tradicional revista americana Swimming World<\/em> como o melhor do ano e sua performance no Rio-2016 fez toda a diferen\u00e7a. Foram seis medalhas, sendo cinco de ouro. Nenhum atleta de todas as modalidades subiu tantas vezes ao p\u00f3dio no Rio de Janeiro. Outro feito de destaque foi sua vit\u00f3ria nos 200m medley, tornando-se o primeiro nadador a vencer uma prova quatro vezes consecutivas. Outro nome que tamb\u00e9m teve m\u00e9ritos para receber o pr\u00eamio era o brit\u00e2nico Adam Peaty, que acabou levando o pr\u00eamio de melhor performance do ano devido sua avassaladora prova de 100m peito no Rio-2016, quando estabeleceu o novo recorde mundial de 57s13.<\/p>\n

A disputa feminina era mais disputada, embora o crit\u00e9rio de pontua\u00e7\u00e3o da Fina j\u00e1 deixasse claro quem venceria: Katinka Hosszu. A dama de ferro foi implac\u00e1vel nesta temporada conquistando quatro medalhas no Rio-2016, sendo tr\u00eas delas de ouro. A h\u00fangara ainda destruiu o recorde mundial dos 400m medley e novamente venceu a Copa do Mundo de piscina curta com uma campanha superior ao ano passado. Katinka ainda deve ampliar seus feitos em 2016 com o Mundial de curta. Katie Ledecky, eleita pela Swimming World<\/em>, recebeu o pr\u00eamio de melhor performance pelo seu desempenho no Rio-2016.<\/p>\n

Nas \u00e1guas abertas nenhuma surpresa. A dupla holandesa e campe\u00e3 ol\u00edmpica ficou com os pr\u00eamios deste ano. No masculino Ferry Weertman, que disputa neste fim de semana o Desafio elite Rei e Rainha do Mar, e no feminino Sharon van Rouwendaal, que nada em Windsor o Mundial de piscina curta. Seus respectivos t\u00e9cnicos, Marcel Wouda e Philippe Lucas, tamb\u00e9m foram premiados. Na nata\u00e7\u00e3o os melhores treinadores foram\u00a0Bob Bowman e Shane Tusup.<\/p>\n
