Por\u00e9m, ao t\u00e9rmino da prova dos 100m livre do Trof\u00e9u Jos\u00e9 Finkel deste mesmo ano, houve um empate na terceira coloca\u00e7\u00e3o entre o paulista Jos\u00e9 Carlos Souza J\u00fanior e o mineiro Te\u00f3filo Laborne Ferreira.<\/p>\n<p>Na \u00e9poca, o recorde mundial do revezamento 4x100m livre em piscina curta pertencia a Su\u00e9cia com 3min14s00. Para qualquer amante da nata\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 de conhecimento geral, que em provas de revezamento a grande maioria dos atletas conseguem melhorar o tempo, pois realiza a \u201csa\u00edda lan\u00e7ada\u201d.\u00a0 Te\u00f3filo foi primeiro, entre os melhores nadadores do pais, a acreditar que era poss\u00edvel quebrar o recorde mundial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M1Sdxmqdw3Y\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>O que ele fez? \u201cPilhou\u201d Gustavo, Xuxa e J\u00fanior e mais do que isso, come\u00e7ou a ligar para a Confedera\u00e7\u00e3o Brasileira de Desportos Aqu\u00e1ticos (CBDA) e para a TV Globo no intuito de uma tentativa de recorde mundial na piscina do Clube Internacional de Regatas na cidade de Santos. Para isso, haveria custos de todas as partes: Federa\u00e7\u00e3o, clube, TV e tudo mais. Mesmo assim, todos foram cederam perante a confian\u00e7a de Te\u00f3filo.<\/p>\n<p>No fim, ele estava certo. Por apenas tr\u00eas cent\u00e9simos de segundos, marcando o tempo de 3min13s97, o Brasil estabeleceria pela primeira vez na hist\u00f3ria, um recorde mundial de revezamento.
