A cada ano que passa mais pessoas come\u00e7am a se interessar em\u00a0disputar travessias, seja para perder o medo do mar, como forma de condicionamento f\u00edsico, para experimentar uma nova adrenalina que o esporte oferece ou simplesmente para variar os locais de treinamento. Mas al\u00e9m de todo estes motivos existe uma outra raz\u00e3o para a pr\u00e1tica da nata\u00e7\u00e3o no mar: a sa\u00fade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Em artigo publicado no jornal neo-zeland\u00eas <em>New Zealand Herald<\/em>, o m\u00e9dico S\u00e9rgio Diez Alvarez, da Universidade de Newcastle, afirmou que a nata\u00e7\u00e3o al\u00e9m de um estilo de vida \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m uma \u00f3tima forma para conserva\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade. Ou melhor, a \u00e1gua salgada \u00e9 uma \u00f3tima ferramenta para tal. Afinal, ela cont\u00e9m uma quantidade maior de minerais, como s\u00f3dio, magn\u00e9sio, cloreto e c\u00e1lcio, sendo um excelente rem\u00e9dio natural no combate as doen\u00e7as de pele como eczema e psor\u00edase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Em seu texto Alvarez ainda destaca que a \u00e1gua do mar pode ter outros benef\u00edcios a sa\u00fade, como\u00a0ajudar no tratamento de pessoas que sofrem com problemas respirat\u00f3rios como rinites al\u00e9rgicas e sinusites. O m\u00e9dico afirma que estudos j\u00e1 indicaram que a \u00e1gua salgada reduz inflama\u00e7\u00f5es e irrita\u00e7\u00f5es nas cavidades nasais e que pessoas que nadam frequentemente no mar ou vivem neste tipo de ambiente, como pescadores, por exemplo, tendem a ter sistemas respirat\u00f3rios mais saud\u00e1veis. Recentemente vem aumento o n\u00famero de piscinas que optam pela saliniza\u00e7\u00e3o ao inv\u00e9s do tradicional cloro, deixando a \u00e1gua dessa forma com uma sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de leveza e bem-estar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por fim, Alvarez lembra que a \u00e1gua do mar \u00e9 uma \u00f3tima sugest\u00e3o para manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade mental. O termalismo, que \u00e9 a terapia da \u00e1gua, feito em \u00e1gua salgada ajuda no combate de sintomas de depress\u00e3o e ansiedade. Outro tratamento que vem se tornando bastante comum na \u00e1gua do mar \u00e9 a hidroterapia, terapia em \u00e1gua gelada, que \u00e9 muito utilizada para reabilita\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica.\u00a0Portanto nadar no mar al\u00e9m de ser uma atividade bastante emocionante tamb\u00e9m\u00a0\u00e9 uma \u00f3tima ferramenta para sua sa\u00fade.
