Desde ent\u00e3o passou a treinar diariamente focando nas provas de longa dist\u00e2ncia, j\u00e1 que tinha grande resist\u00eancia. Como n\u00e3o era t\u00e3o competitivo nas provas em piscinas, dedicou-se exclusivamente as \u00e1guas abertas que viriam a se tornar modalidade ol\u00edmpica e lhe deu esperan\u00e7a de chegar aos Jogos no futuro.<\/p>\n<p>Uma escolha acertada j\u00e1 que o nadador esta presente na sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira principal\u00a0desde 2006 e \u00e9 h\u00e1 anos o principal atleta masculino da modalidade no Brasil, tendo n\u00fameros e pr\u00eamios que nenhum outro nadador de \u00e1guas abertas conseguiu. Foto: Satiro Sodr\u00e9\/SSPress\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Em 2014 ele foi eleito pela FINA o melhor nadador do mundo da modalidade, sendo o primeiro brasileiro a conseguir o feito. Naquele ano Allan conquistou suas primeiras vit\u00f3rias na FINA Marathon Swim World Series nas etapas de Lac M\u00e9gantic e Chun&#8217;An, al\u00e9m de conquistar outras tr\u00eas medalhas na temporada e conquistar o t\u00edtulo.\u00a0At\u00e9 hoje \u00e9 o nadador brasileiro no masculino com mais p\u00f3dios alcan\u00e7ados na competi\u00e7\u00e3o com 23 ao todo.<\/p>\n<p>Em Barcelona-2013 ganhou sua primeira medalha em um Campeonato Mundial, um bronze na prova por equipes ao lado de Poliana Okimoto e Samuel de Bona. Repetiu o feito dois anos depois no Mundial de Kazan quando foi medalhista de prata ao lado de Ana Marcela Cunha e Diogo Villarinho. Allan \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m um \u00eddolo nacional e bastante pr\u00f3ximo do p\u00fablico, j\u00e1 que disputa competi\u00e7\u00f5es amadoras vez ou outra como a Travessia do Canal de Ilhabela e o Rei e Rainha do Mar.<\/p>\n<p>Ap\u00f3s um per\u00edodo de resultados ruins e quase perder espa\u00e7os na sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira, Allan resolveu mudar de ares. Deixou para tr\u00e1s sua cidade natal Salvador e seu t\u00e9cnico de longa data, Rog\u00e9rio Arapiraca, para se fixar no Rio de Janeiro sendo comandado por Fernando Possenti.
