Extremamente veloz foi destaque na base dos rivais Flamengo e Fluminense, chamando a aten\u00e7\u00e3o de outros clubes do pa\u00eds. Primeiro optou por mudar-se para Belo Horizonte onde foi nadar pelo Minas T\u00eanis Clube. Em seguida rumou para S\u00e3o Paulo onde defendeu o Pinheiros iniciando uma parceria de sucesso com o t\u00e9cnico Alberto Silva, o Albertinho.<\/p>\n<p>No Campeonato Sul-Americano de Esportes Aqu\u00e1ticos em 2006 bateu quatro recordes de campeonato nas provas de borboleta e firmou-se definitivamente como a melhor do continente nos 50m e principalmente nos 100m. O resultado foi t\u00e3o bom que a medalha de bronze escapou por apenas oito cent\u00e9simos. Uma prova dur\u00edssima e equilibrada que teve a brasileira se destacando, passando os primeiros 50 metros na lideran\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>At\u00e9 a medalha de prata de Etiene Medeiros em Kazan-2015 o quinto lugar de Gabriella foi o melhor resultado da nata\u00e7\u00e3o feminina em Mundiais de longa.\u00a0Nos anos seguintes n\u00e3o conseguiu engatar bons resultados devido a constantes les\u00f5es no ombro esquerdo.<\/p>\n<p>Fez duas cirurgias, mas nunca mais conseguiu ter os mesmos resultados de antes e decidiu se aposentar precocemente das piscinas aos 24 anos no in\u00edcio da temporada 2013.
