No dia 17 de agosto de 2016 quando Nathan Adrian bateu na parede e concluiu a vit\u00f3ria americana no revezamento 4x100m medley na final ol\u00edmpica no Rio de Janeiro chegava ao fim oficialmente a carreira de Michael Phelps. Naquele dia ele havia nadado a parcial de borboleta e se despedia do esporte que o transformou no maior atleta ol\u00edmpico de todos os tempos. Era\u00a0um adeus com chave, ou melhor, medalha de ouro. A sua 28\u00aa nos Jogos. Uma carreira de sucesso absoluto e que dificilmente ser\u00e1 superada algum dia. Naquele mesmo 17 de agosto, Phelps deu sua \u00faltima entrevista coletiva como um atleta de elite. Dali em diante n\u00e3o o ver\u00edamos mais em uma Olimp\u00edada, pelo menos dentro d’\u00e1gua.<\/p>\n

Ainda faltam tr\u00eas anos e meio para os Jogos de T\u00f3quio-2020, mas Phelps j\u00e1 come\u00e7ou a tra\u00e7ar seus planos para estar presente na maior competi\u00e7\u00e3o do planeta.\u00a0Agora n\u00e3o mais como nadador e nem como t\u00e9cnico, dirigente ou comentarista de TV. Ele pretende aportar no Jap\u00e3o como empres\u00e1rio e quer ver os melhores nadadores do mundo utilizarem acess\u00f3rios de sua pr\u00f3pria\u00a0marca: a MP. “Isso se tornou uma paix\u00e3o para mim e estou disposto a gastar muito e energia nessa nova fun\u00e7\u00e3o. Gosto de estar pr\u00f3ximo a nata\u00e7\u00e3o e acredito que poderei trabalhar nesse ramo por muitos anos”, disse o supercampe\u00e3o ol\u00edmpico a um jornal franc\u00eas durante um evento recente em Paris<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Em 2014 Phelps anunciou que retornaria as piscinas ap\u00f3s uma breve aposentadoria de 20 meses. Ao mesmo tempo\u00a0come\u00e7ou a atuar em parceria com a AquaSphere e seu t\u00e9cnico Bob Bowman no desenvolvimento de trajes e acess\u00f3rios para nata\u00e7\u00e3o competitiva. No come\u00e7o de 2015 ele lan\u00e7ou oficialmente a MP e seguiu trabalhando juntamente com a AquaSphere na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de produtos de alto n\u00edvel utilizando sua experi\u00eancia e conhecimento. Em seguida surgiram os primeiros produtos da empresa: os jammers e kneeskins Xpresso e a linha de \u00f3culos Xceed, ambos utilizados por Phelps no Rio-2016.<\/p>\n

Hoje a MP \u00e9 vendida em diversos pa\u00edses al\u00e9m dos Estados Unidos como Austr\u00e1lia e Brasil. No Rio de Janeiro\u00a0ele foi a principal vitrine e garoto propaganda da marca durante sua campanha arrebatadora e ajudou a expandir a fama da marca. Outro detalhe \u00e9 que ele opina bastante durante o trabalho de desenvolvimento dos acess\u00f3rios. “N\u00e3o tive esta oportunidade de algu\u00e9m escutar o que eu tinha a dizer sobre um produto ou uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o no passado e agora estou adorando poder passar toda minha experi\u00eancia de mais de 20 anos piscina. E espero que muitos nadadores utilizem nossos produtos na pr\u00f3xima Olimp\u00edada. Seria um sonho se tornando realidade”, afirmou o agora ex-nadador e empres\u00e1rio.\u00a0<\/span>E aguarde que nas pr\u00f3ximas semanas a SWIM CHANNEL<\/strong> far\u00e1\u00a0algumas mat\u00e9rias sobre os\u00a0trajes e acess\u00f3rios da linha MP.<\/p>\n
