Assim como foi feito para os Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos do Rio de Janeiro-2016, a Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Francesa de Nata\u00e7\u00e3o optou por utilizar uma tabela de \u00edndices pr\u00f3pria ao inv\u00e9s de seguir os tempos exigidos pela\u00a0Fina. As marcas da tabela francesa eram mais baixas, e consequentemente, obrigavam os nadadores a serem mais competitivos. E o\u00a0resultado foi\u00a0ruim: uma equipe enxuta com apenas dez atletas nadando abaixo do exigido pela FFN e o revezamento 4x100m livre masculino a princ\u00edpio ausente do evento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">H\u00e1 dez anos\u00a0a Fran\u00e7a sempre sobe ao p\u00f3dio dos principais eventos internacionais da nata\u00e7\u00e3o. Em Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos foi ouro em Londres-2012 e prata em\u00a0Pequim-2008 e no Rio-2016. Nos Mundiais foi bicampe\u00e3 em Barcelona-2013 e Kazan-2015, vice em Xangai-2011 e bronze em Melbourne-2007 e Roma-2009. A baixa performance do 4x100m livre masculino se deve ao fato de antigos campe\u00f5es estarem ausentes. Florent Manaudou deixou a nata\u00e7\u00e3o para se dedicar ao handebol e Yannick Agnel, Fabien Gilot, Fred Bousquet e Amaury Leveaux se aposentaram. Com isso a miss\u00e3o de liderar o revezamento caiu nos ombros de Mehdy Metella e Jeremy Stravius.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Metella e Stravious fizeram parte das \u00faltimas equipes francesas medalhistas em grandes competi\u00e7\u00f5es e agora ter\u00e3o a responsabilidade para liderar uma nova equipe. Na prova individual eles foram os \u00fanicos a nadar os 100m livre abaixo dos 49 segundos: Metella para 48s23 (abaixo do \u00edndice franc\u00eas) e Stravius para 48s68.\u00a0Se a dupla mais uma vez nadou para 48 segundos, os demais n\u00e3o conseguiram acompanhar o ritmo. Clement Mignon (49s03 nas eliminat\u00f3rias) e Nosy Pelagie (49s76) foram os nadadores que mais se aproximaram. O que preocupa \u00e9 a soma do quarteto: 3min15s70, 51 cent\u00e9simos\u00a0acima do estipulado pela Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Francesa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Independentemente dos crit\u00e9rios adotados pela FFN a Fran\u00e7a ainda pode inscrever o 4x100m livre no Mundial. Um exemplo \u00e9 o Brasil que levar\u00e1 mais atletas do que o planejamento\u00a0original ap\u00f3s boas performances no Trof\u00e9u Maria Lenk. Os franceses, por exemplo, conseguiram um tempo competitivo e que lhe garantiria numa hipot\u00e9tica final. Em levantamento divulgado <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bestswim.com.br\/2017\/05\/29\/brasil-segue-1-do-mundo-no-4x100-livre-para-budapeste\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pela Best Swimming<\/a> a Fran\u00e7a tem hoje o sexto revezamento mais r\u00e1pido da temporada, 80 cent\u00e9simos mais lento do que o time italiano que \u00e9 o terceiro mais veloz de 2017. Por\u00e9m, n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas o 4x100m livre que preocupa os franceses. Com exce\u00e7\u00e3o do 4x100m livre feminino\u00a0os demais revezamentos n\u00e3o conseguiram nadar abaixo das marcas exigidas pela FFN e\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swimswam.com\/french-not-qualify-relays-world-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">correm o risco de n\u00e3o serem inscritos<\/a> no Mundial de Budapeste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A poss\u00edvel n\u00e3o\u00a0inscri\u00e7\u00e3o do revezamento 4x100m livre no Mundial mostra que os franceses ter\u00e3o um longo caminho para renovar sua equipe\u00a0de velocistas. No momento, ir ao p\u00f3dio tendo advers\u00e1rios competitivos e em melhor fase como Estados Unidos, Austr\u00e1lia, Brasil e R\u00fassia parece algo bem distante.
