A Federa\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional do Esporte Universit\u00e1rio (FISU) anunciou que a regi\u00e3o metropolitana de Rhine-Ruhr, na Alemanha, ser\u00e1 a sede da edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 2025 da Univers\u00edade. A competi\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 dividida entre v\u00e1rias cidades como Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Essen, Bochum e Krefeld. Esta n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 a primeira vez que a regi\u00e3o sediar\u00e1 o evento, j\u00e1 que em 1989 Duisburg recebeu a competi\u00e7\u00e3o. Curiosamente, a sede original era S\u00e3o Paulo, que foi for\u00e7ada a se retirar por quest\u00f5es econ\u00f4micas.<\/p>\n

“Estamos muito felizes com a confian\u00e7a depositada em n\u00f3s e com a decis\u00e3o da FISU, que \u00e9 de import\u00e2ncia hist\u00f3rica para o esporte universit\u00e1rio alem\u00e3o e para o g\u00eanero alem\u00e3o como um todo. “O foco conceitual dos Jogos Universit\u00e1rios Mundiais Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU ser\u00e1 em t\u00f3picos de sustentabilidade social, ecol\u00f3gica e econ\u00f4mica, bem como em inova\u00e7\u00e3o e participa\u00e7\u00e3o. Com estes aspectos principais e o estreito envolvimento do meio acad\u00eamico durante a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o e implementa\u00e7\u00e3o da Univers\u00edade podem servir de incubadora para processos de mudan\u00e7a no esporte e na regi\u00e3o metropolitana de Rhine-Ruhr”, finalizou o Forster.<\/p>\n

Maior competi\u00e7\u00e3o universit\u00e1ria do mundo, a Univers\u00edade frequentemente apresenta mais atletas competindo do que os Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos. Em 2015 foram 12.885 atletas participando da competi\u00e7\u00e3o, contra 11.238 nos Jogos do Rio-2016. A entidade tamb\u00e9m anunciou as datas para a edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 2021, que foi adiada para o ano que vem devido a pandemia e a mudan\u00e7a de data da Olimp\u00edada de T\u00f3quio. Os Jogos de Chengdu-2021 ser\u00e3o entre 26 de junho a 7 de julho de 2022.<\/p>\n

Na edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 2019, realizada em N\u00e1poles na It\u00e1lia, a sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira de nata\u00e7\u00e3o conquistou quatro medalhas: ouro com Jhennifer Alves nos 50m peito, prata com o revezamento masculino 4x100m livre e bronze com Marco Antonio J\u00fanior nos 100m livre e com o revezamento masculino 4x100m medley.
