L\u00e1, ele estava com 17 anos e ficou em 12\u00ba lugar nos 200m livre 1min49s63 e 15\u00ba nos 400m livre com 3min54s22.<\/p>\n<p>No ano passado, Martens foi ol\u00edmpico, e sua melhor coloca\u00e7\u00e3o foi um 11\u00ba lugar nos 1500m livre (14min59s.45) e em 12\u00ba nos 400m livre, uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o atr\u00e1s do brasileiro Guilherme Costa, exatos 31 cent\u00e9simos.<\/p>\n<p>Para terminar o seu primeiro ano de Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Alem\u00e3 Absoluta, alguns dias antes de completar 20 anos, Martens esteve no Mundial de Curta de Abu Dhabi, quando conseguiu seu melhor resultado internacional da carreira, um nono lugar, mas com um forte 14min37s90 nos 1500m livre.<\/p>\n<p>2022 come\u00e7ou diferente para Martens. Integrante do forte grupo de treinamento de fundo de Bernd Brekhahn onde est\u00e3o os medalhistas ol\u00edmpicos Florian Wellbrock, Sarah Kohler e Sharon van Rouwendaal, Martens deixou de ser um mero figurante para passar a ser protagonista.<\/p>\n<p>Em mar\u00e7o ele participou de um torneio na Alemanha e fez duas melhores marcas pessoais, 800m livre (7min53s78) e um expressivo (14min40s28), o tempo que lhe deu o primeiro posto no ranking mundial de 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Neste final de semana, Martens foi a estrela do Estocolmo Open, na Su\u00e9cia. Para deixar o registro ainda mais especial, fez a marca batendo Wellbrock que chegou em segundo com 7min43s10.
