A tradicional Travessia da Ilha do Mel foi realizada no \u00faltimo final de semana no Paran\u00e1. A sexta edi\u00e7\u00e3o da prova reuniu as conhecidas dist\u00e2ncias de 13 km e 23 km na famosa ilha do estado paranaense. Um das provas mais extremas e dif\u00edceis na opini\u00e3o de v\u00e1rios nadadores, devido as caracter\u00edsticas do local, teve dois campe\u00f5es in\u00e9ditos na prova mais longa de 23 km.<\/p>\n

No masculino Armando Lopes Junior da BF Swim foi o mais r\u00e1pido nadando a dist\u00e2ncia em 4h51min09, batendo dois ultramaratonistas bastante conhecidos: Glauco Rangel, que terminou na segunda coloca\u00e7\u00e3o com o tempo total de 4h52min41s e Samir Barel, que foi o terceira colocado da prova de 23 km com o tempo de 4h59min14s. Ao fim da prova, Armando celebrou bastante sua vit\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n

No feminino o t\u00edtulo geral ficou com Ana Carolina Morelli da equipe Samir Barel. Ex-nadadora de piscina e velocista, ela vem se especializando em prova de \u00e1guas abertas e nadou na Ilha do Mel a maior prova de sua carreira. Ela venceu com tempo total de 5h24min54, sendo seguida por Silvana Santos e Priscilla Magalh\u00e3es, que marcaram 5h41min54s e 5h42min31s, respectivamente.<\/p>\n

Na prova dos 13 km, os campe\u00f5es foram Alessandro Ricardo Vieira, do Metralhas, com 3h15min56 no masculino e Caline Fuckner Noronha, da Nata\u00e7\u00e3o Samir Barel, com 3h21min21 no feminino. O p\u00f3dio masculino teve ainda Kleiton Uehara em segundo com 3h20min55s e Ademar Barbosa em terceiro com 3h28min13. No feminino Sandra Egg foi a segunda com 3h38min56s e Rosemari Rodrigues a terceira colocada com 3h45min00s.<\/p>\n

Outro destaque na Ilha do Mel foi a jovem Gabriele Casagrande, de 15 anos, da equipe Alexandre Ramos Consultoria Aqu\u00e1tica. Com essa idade ela se tornou a atleta mas jovem da hist\u00f3ria a nadar o desafio de 45 km na ilha, alguns dias antes do fim de semana da Ultramaratona da Ilha do Mel.
