A partir de hoje, cinco dias de competi\u00e7\u00f5es, eliminat\u00f3rias e finais, mas apenas os tempos das finais contabilizam para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o da Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Americana que ir\u00e1 disputar o Campeonato Mundial de Budapeste.<\/p>\n

A SWIM CHANNEL<\/strong> vai descrever como \u00e9 o sistema de classifica\u00e7\u00e3o para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o da equipe americana que poder\u00e1 ter at\u00e9 52 atletas, 26 de cada sexo, exatamente o limite estabelecido pela FINA.<\/p>\n

A primeira condi\u00e7\u00e3o de estar no Team USA para o Mundial \u00e9 fazer as marcas A estabelecidas pela FINA, as mesmas que a CBDA considerou para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o da nossa equipe para Budapeste.<\/p>\n

Os 52 nadadores, 26 de cada sexo ser\u00e3o convidados em cinco crit\u00e9rios estabelecidos pela seguinte ordem:<\/p>\n

1. Todos os vencedores de provas ol\u00edmpicas e os quatro primeiros colocados nos 100m e 200m livre.
\n2. Todos os segundos colocados das provas ol\u00edmpicas.
\n3. Vencedores das provas de 50 metros nos estilos.
\n4. Todos os quintos colocados das provas de 100m e 200m livre.
\n5. Todos os sextos colocados das provas de 100m e 200m livre.<\/p>\n

Os nomes dos atletas ser\u00e3o conhecidos nos pr\u00f3ximos dias, mas Todd DeSorbo no feminino e Anthony Nesty no masculino j\u00e1 foram anunciados como os Head Coaches da Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Americana. Nesty, treinador de Caeleb Dressel e Katie Ledecky, estava como um dos treinadores da equipe ol\u00edmpica em T\u00f3quio, mas junto com DeSorbo est\u00e3o estreando como head cach\u00eas na Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional, \u00c9 a primeira vez na hist\u00f3ria que a USA Swimming ter\u00e1 um head coach negro para um evento de grande magnitude.<\/p>\n

A Seletiva Americana acontece em Greensboro, na Carolina do Norte, e ter\u00e1 transmiss\u00e3o das eliminat\u00f3rias a partir das 10 da manh\u00e3 no site da USA Swimming e as finais no Olympic Channel as 19 horas (hor\u00e1rios de Bras\u00edlia).
