Pouca gente se deu conta, mas o sucesso incontest\u00e1vel de Guilherme Costa, o melhor nadador do Brasil nas provas de piscina do Mundial de Budapeste, foram constru\u00eddas de forma diferente. Ele foi capaz de chegar a tr\u00eas finais, caindo na \u00e1gua por seis vezes, cinco delas com novo recorde sul-americano, mas principalmente executadas de forma distinta.<\/p>\n
Cachorr\u00e3o n\u00e3o foi s\u00f3 perfeito nos resultados, mas na estrat\u00e9gia, com uma habilidade incr\u00edvel de poder ajustar parciais e execut\u00e1-los com perfei\u00e7\u00e3o em performances espetaculares. 400m livre <\/strong> \nFoi a sua melhor execu\u00e7\u00e3o estrat\u00e9gica. J\u00e1 nas eliminat\u00f3rias se classificou com o terceiro tempo para a final e j\u00e1 fazendo sua melhor marca pessoal com 3min44s52. Da eliminat\u00f3ria para a final, ele ajustou o parcial, n\u00e3o s\u00f3 mais lento (1min51s71 contra 1min50s83 da manh\u00e3), mas “mais f\u00e1cil”. Na parte t\u00e9cnica tamb\u00e9m houve melhora na aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o das viradas, coisa que ainda n\u00e3o est\u00e1 perfeita, mas com melhora significativa para a final.<\/p>\n
O determinante para o resultado da final, entretanto, foi a capacidade de fechar a prova. Os 26s38 dos \u00faltimos 50 metros lhe trouxeram da quinta para a terceira posi\u00e7\u00e3o e ganhar a medalha de bronze. Foi o melhor \u00faltimo parcial da prova at\u00e9 mais baixo que os 26s50 que o australiano Elliajah Winnington fez para ganhar a medalha de ouro.<\/p>\n
Outro destaque desta performance foi a capacidade de controle, afinal ele sempre esteve entre o 5\u00ba e o 7\u00ba lugar durante 350 metros da prova, sem se incomodar sabendo do potencial forte que teria para concluir a dist\u00e2ncia.<\/p>\n

800m livre <\/strong> \nFoi a \u00fanica prova que ele n\u00e3o conseguiu fazer melhor marca pessoal tanto na eliminat\u00f3ria como na final. Classificou com o s\u00e9timo tempo na eliminat\u00f3ria com 7min46s90 e terminou em 5o lugar com 7min45s48. Ele mesmo verbaliza que \u00e9 a prova onde ainda n\u00e3o atingiu todo o seu potencial, e fala com muita propriedade.<\/p>\n
Junto com seu treinador Rog\u00e9rio Karfunkelstein, foi estabelecida uma estrat\u00e9gia que era colocar um ritmo que estava acima do seu potencial. Nadando na raia 1, Costa foi l\u00edder da prova at\u00e9 os 300 metros e estava na briga pela prova at\u00e9 os 400. Depois de passar os 400 metros com 3min50s87 voltou com 3min54s61 e ainda conseguiu fechar com 28s00.<\/p>\n
Diferente dos 400, onde foi o mais r\u00e1pido, ainda foi um parcial forte, manteve o seu perfil de fechar bem suas provas, mas o ritmo arriscado mostrou uma disposi\u00e7\u00e3o para entrar no grupo que disputa as medalhas e talvez at\u00e9 ven\u00e7a a prova.<\/p>\n
Ainda n\u00e3o foi desta vez, mas definitivamente foi ligado o alerta para a performance do brasileiro.<\/p>\n

1500m livre <\/strong> \nA prova mais equilibrada. No \u00faltimo dia de competi\u00e7\u00e3o, foi capaz de classificar com o quarto tempo para a final com 14min53s03. Nesta execu\u00e7\u00e3o foi mais controlado, teve a prova toda em parciais muito pr\u00f3ximos.<\/p>\n
A cada 500 metros fez 4min53s22, 4min57s00 e 4min58s31. Na metade da prova, seus 750 metros apontavam 7min20s71 e voltou com 7min27s82.<\/p>\n
Ainda em destaque a diferen\u00e7a que se coloca na atualidade entre Guilherme Costa e todos os nadadores do continente. Na faixa dos 800 metros, ele tinha 7min50s49, cinco segundos a frente de qualquer brasileiro na prova dos 800 livre, e at\u00e9 mesmo melhor do que todos os recordes nacionais de outros pa\u00edses da Am\u00e9rica do Sul.<\/p>\n
Dentro do atual padr\u00e3o de nado e marcas de Guilherme Costa, a prova foi balanceada e conseguindo mais uma vez fechar forte. O \u00faltimo 50 metros (27s06) est\u00e1 entre os melhores dos finalistas.<\/p>\n
