Uma prova bem disputada decidida no final e que deu ao Brasil o seu terceiro campe\u00e3o mundial j\u00fanior logo na primeira prova do Campeonato Mundial J\u00fanior, em Lima, no Peru. Stephan Steverink venceu os 400m livre com expressivos 3min48s27 depois de tamb\u00e9m ter sido o mais r\u00e1pido nas eliminat\u00f3rias com 3min50s24.<\/p>\n

Na final, Steverink se alternou com o polon\u00eas Krzysztof Chmielewski e o romeno Vlad Stefan Stancu em prova bastante disputada e somente decidida na chegada. Steverink venceu com apenas 11 cent\u00e9simos sobre Stancu deixando Chmielewski caindo para a terceira posi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

A marca tamb\u00e9m passa a ser o terceiro melhor resultado da hist\u00f3ria dos 400m livre no Brasil superados apenas por 3min43s31 de Guilherme Costa e 3min47s72 de Fernando Scheffer.<\/p>\n

Antes deste Mundial, Steverink era o 12\u00ba no ranking All-Time dos 400 livre no Brasil com os 3min51s36 que era sua melhor marca feita nos Jogos Sul-Americanos da Juventude em abril deste ano, em Ros\u00e1rio, na Argentina.<\/p>\n
