A compara\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0\u00e9 inevit\u00e1vel, afinal, o colombiano Juan Manuel Morales assumiu uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o de dom\u00ednio em seu pa\u00eds compar\u00e1vel ao nosso maior destaque Guilherme Costa, o Cachorr\u00e3o. Assim como o brasileiro, Morales acumula m\u00faltiplos recordes nacionais e brilha tanto nas piscinas como nas \u00e1guas abertas.<\/p>\n
Enquanto Guilherme Costa tem os recordes brasileiros e sul-americanos dos 400m, 800m e 1500m livre, al\u00e9m de estar entre os melhores dos 200m livre no cen\u00e1rio nacional, e ter vencido todas as provas de \u00e1guas abertas no Brasil nos dois \u00faltimos anos, Morales vai pelo mesmo caminho.<\/p>\n
Na Col\u00f4mbia, ningu\u00e9m tem tantos recordes nacionais como ele. Morales foi o \u00fanico a medalhar na piscina do Centro Acu\u00e1tico de Assun\u00e7\u00e3o e nas \u00e1guas abertas. A Col\u00f4mbia ganhou 24 medalhas nas provas de nata\u00e7\u00e3o, mas nenhum ouro. Morales foi o destaque com a prata nos 1500m livre, bronze nos 400m e 800m livre, al\u00e9m de mais duas medalhas nos revezamentos, prata no 4x200m e bronze no 4x100m livre. No total, junto com o ouro das \u00e1guas abertas, ele deixa o ODESUR com seis medalhas.<\/p>\n
Melhor que isso \u00e9 agora ter sob o seu nome quatro recordes nacionais absolutos, dos 200m aos 1500m livre. Nos 200m, mesmo fora do p\u00f3dio, ele nadou a nova marca nacional 1min49s03, al\u00e9m dos 7min54s44 nos 800m livre e 15min15s39 nos 1500m. A \u00fanica marca que ele n\u00e3o quebrou foi os 400m livre, 3min50s93 que j\u00e1 era seu desde o ano passado.<\/p>\n
Desde 2020 na Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional Absoluta da Col\u00f4mbia, Morales foi campe\u00e3o do Sul-Americano Absoluto no ano seguinte com 8min02s29. Em 2019, Morales ficou uma temporada treinando no Gr\u00eamio N\u00e1utico Uni\u00e3o, em Porto Alegre, se preparando para o Campeonato Mundial Junior daquele ano. Atualmente, est\u00e1 de volta a Cali, onde treina com Felipe Valencia combinando a sua habilidade de piscina com as performances de \u00e1guas abertas, assim como o nosso Cachorr\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
No \u00faltimo Mundial de Budapeste, Morales tamb\u00e9m esteve na piscina, onde foi o 22\u00ba lugar nos 400m livre (3min51s50) e foi o melhor sul-americano na prova dos 5 quil\u00f4metros de \u00e1guas abertas terminando em 14\u00ba lugar.<\/p>\n
Os resultados do ODESUR foram promissores e seguem uma boa sequ\u00eancia de progress\u00e3o, mas Morales est\u00e1 de olho mesmo \u00e9 nas marcas ol\u00edmpicas para Paris 2024.
