O XTERRA \u00e9 o maior circuito de triathlon Cross Country do mundo e que tamb\u00e9m realiza de maneira exemplar provas de Mountain Bike, Trail Run e logicamente de nata\u00e7\u00e3o em \u00e1guas abertas.<\/p>\n

Neste \u00faltimo fim de semana, no dia 13 de maio, aconteceu a inovadora e din\u00e2mica prova do Swim Storm (nome da prova de nata\u00e7\u00e3o do XTERRA). O Swim Storm consiste na somat\u00f3ria do tempo de tr\u00eas travessias: uma de 1,5 km, outra de 1 km e mais uma de 500 metros. Todas elas tem aproximadamente 15 minutos de intervalo entre si. Quando o \u00faltimo atleta termina a prova \u00e9 quando se inicia a contagem dos 15 minutos de descanso.<\/p>\n

Mas n\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas a adrenalina de v\u00e1rias provas com pouco intervalo entre si, que marca o evento. Para quem n\u00e3o sabe, o XTERRA tem um desafio extra para os atletas e na metade da prova de 1,5 km todos os nadadores tem que sair da \u00e1gua, fazer uma transi\u00e7\u00e3o no afasto e na sequ\u00eancia saltar de um p\u00eder com 3 metros de altura.<\/p>\n

Lembrando que eram tr\u00eas travessias, ent\u00e3o os nadadores escutaram bastante AcDc na prova Swim Storm. Entre os homens, Patrick Winkler venceu as tr\u00eas baterias e a somat\u00f3ria dos tempos com a marca de 42min09s, seguido por Felipe Guedes com 43min04s e Yuri Monteiro com o tempo de 43min59s.<\/p>\n

J\u00e1 no feminino, Catarina Ganzeli Winkler venceu com a marca 42min42s, seguida por Cristina de Moraes com 51min08s e Maria Clara Mota com 51min37s. Uma participa\u00e7\u00e3o pra l\u00e1 de especial, ressaltando que Patrick e Catarina fazem parte do grupo editorial SWIM CHANNEL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Gosto muito do XTERRA, por inovar com louvor a nata\u00e7\u00e3o em \u00e1guas abertas”, comentou ao fim da prova o campe\u00e3o Patrick Winkler que tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 atleta homenageado no Hall da Fama XTERRA.<\/p>\n

A prova ainda teve Igor de Souza, como diretor geral do evento e que contribuiu muito para o formato de cria\u00e7\u00e3o do Swim Storm. Ao todos mais de 1.500 atletas estiveram no XTERRA Ilhabela e por 18 anos consecutivos a Speedo foi uma das grandes patrocinadoras do renomado evento.<\/p>\n
