A t\u00e9cnica \u00e9 baseada no treino de oclus\u00e3o, ou treino de isquemia, em que o treinamento de for\u00e7a \u00e9 feito com diminui\u00e7\u00e3o do fluxo sangu\u00edneo para os m\u00fasculos. Com menos sangue chegando a um m\u00fasculo em atividade ocorreriam mais microles\u00f5es musculares e consequentemente causaria um maior crescimento muscular. Quando o flossing \u00e9 removido ap\u00f3s aproximadamente 2 minutos, h\u00e1 um fluxo significativamente aumentado de sangue fresco com nutrientes que o tecido necessita regenera\u00e7\u00e3o e constru\u00e7\u00e3o muscular.<\/p>\n<p>No caso de restri\u00e7\u00f5es da mobilidade, por poss\u00edveis ader\u00eancias de diferentes f\u00e1scias. A compress\u00e3o causa \u201cquebra\u201d das ader\u00eancias normalizando a tens\u00e3o muscular. O flossing tamb\u00e9m pode ser utilizado para controle da dor.
