Anatomicamente a palavra \u00e9 utilizada para se referir aos m\u00fasculos profundos das regi\u00f5es abdominal, lombar e p\u00e9lvica, que t\u00eam como finalidade manter a estabilidade dessas regi\u00f5es. Portanto, a musculatura do CORE \u00e9 a respons\u00e1vel pela sustenta\u00e7\u00e3o e estabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de praticamente todos os movimentos de nosso corpo.<\/p>\n<p>Na nata\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9 diferente, o fortalecimento do CORE \u00e9 essencial para o desenvolvimento de uma t\u00e9cnica adequada de nado. O tronco precisa ser capaz de sustentar a for\u00e7a propulsora simult\u00e2nea que vem dos bra\u00e7os e das pernas. A for\u00e7a \u00e9 criada a partir dos m\u00fasculos das extremidades inferiores e propagada pelo corpo atrav\u00e9s de uma sequ\u00eancia de movimentos e ativa\u00e7\u00f5es musculares (cadeia cin\u00e9tica de energia). Por fim, \u00e9 liberada em a\u00e7\u00e3o espec\u00edfica como por exemplo: salto, arremesso ou chute. Os nadadores, ao contr\u00e1rio dos atletas de esportes terrestres, precisam gerar for\u00e7a em um meio l\u00edquido, ou seja, sem usar o solo, para isso utilizam o pr\u00f3prio corpo como \u201cponto fixo\u201d na gera\u00e7\u00e3o de for\u00e7a.<\/p>\n<p>Como resultado desta diferen\u00e7a, \u00e9 imperativo que os nadadores tenham o tronco forte. Os m\u00fasculos centrais s\u00e3o respons\u00e1veis pela estabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o da coluna e da p\u00e9lvis, que por sua vez ajudam a estabilizar e fortalecer as extremidades inferiores. Por exemplo, o fortalecimento dos m\u00fasculos centrais facilita o aumento da velocidade e efici\u00eancia na \u00e1gua, pois a estabilidade aprimorada permite que os nadadores aproveitem melhor os m\u00fasculos maiores para ajudar a impulsion\u00e1-los atrav\u00e9s da \u00e1gua. Frequentemente, nadadores que desejam melhorar os tempos concentram-se na for\u00e7a de sua bra\u00e7ada ou pernada, esquecendo-se completamente do tempo que precisam passar cortando a\u00a0 \u00e1gua em uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o hidrodin\u00e2mica. Ao melhorar a for\u00e7a central, os nadadores s\u00e3o capazes de manter o corpo mais reto durante o nado, criando menos arrasto e, por fim, aumentando a velocidade.<\/p>\n<p>Seja na sa\u00edda do bloco, disparando uma corrida ou se preparando para uma s\u00e9rie mais longa, melhorar a estabilidade e a t\u00e9cnica s\u00e3o, sem d\u00favida, cruciais para reduzir o tempo e aumentar a velocidade na \u00e1gua.
