A Travessia do Canal de Ilhabela tem novos nomes adicionados ao seu rol de campe\u00f5es! Pela primeira vez, Matheus Siniscalchi e Rafaela Monilly sagraram-se vencedores na tradicional prova de \u00e1guas abertas no litoral norte paulista. Em prova disputada no percurso sul, a dupla de jovens nadadores do Time Mormaii Nata\u00e7\u00e3o superou as adversidades, principalmente as fortes correntes laterais, para finalmente chegar ao lugar mais alto do p\u00f3dio.<\/p>\n

Entre os homens a vit\u00f3ria ficou com Matheus Siniscalchi. O nadador do C\u00edrculo Militar brilhou nas \u00e1guas de Ilhabela, conseguindo seu primeiro t\u00edtulo na travessia. Ano passado ele havia sido terceiro colocado, mas neste fim de semana fez uma prova muito consistente para deixar dois veteranos para tr\u00e1s e vencer com o tempo de 45min17s026. O vice-campe\u00e3o foi Victor Colonese que nadou pr\u00f3ximo de Matheus durante boa parte da prova e ficou com o segundo lugar com tempo de 46min49s253. A terceira coloca\u00e7\u00e3o foi de Samir Barel, bicampe\u00e3o da prova em 2014 e 2016, que nadou em 47min55s017.<\/p>\n

O grande campe\u00e3o deste ano tamb\u00e9m teve uma semana bastante agitada no feriado. Matheus teve uma jornada dupla, competindo durante a semana no Trof\u00e9u Jos\u00e9 Finkel em S\u00e3o Paulo e embarcando para Ilhabela no s\u00e1bado logo ap\u00f3s ter nadado os 1500m livre na piscina do Pinheiros. No Finkel, Matheus nadou as provas dos 400m, 800m e 1500m livre e somou alguns pontos para o C\u00edrculo Militar. Uma semana e tanto para o novo campe\u00e3o da Travessia do Canal de Ilhabela.<\/p>\n

No feminino a sequ\u00eancia de vit\u00f3rias de Betina Lorscheitter que vigorava desde 2017 foi interrompida por Rafaela Monilly. A jovem nadadora de Caraguatatuba havia sido vice-campe\u00e3 nas \u00faltimas quatro edi\u00e7\u00f5es da prova, mas desta vez conseguiu superar a pentacampe\u00e3 e levou para casa o trof\u00e9u de campe\u00e3 da Travessia do Canal de Ilhabela pela primeira vez. Rafaela venceu com tempo de 51min00s473, contra 54min41s968 de Betina.<\/p>\n

A prova foi de supera\u00e7\u00e3o para as duas nadadoras. Para Rafaela pela perseveran\u00e7a de continuar tentando um t\u00edtulo que ainda n\u00e3o tinha e jamais desistir do objetivo. E para Betina, pela garra demonstrada ao longo do percurso. A experiente nadadora sentiu bastante as fortes correntes durante o percurso e estava muito emocionada ao fim do percurso. O terceiro lugar ficou com Thais Xavier, repetindo o desempenho do ano passado e finalizando com 1h00min18s158 de prova.<\/p>\n

Ao todo, a prova teve quase 700 nadadores inscrito, mostrando como a Travessia do Canal de Ilhabela j\u00e1 se tornou um dos principais eventos de \u00e1guas abertas do pa\u00eds.
