N\u00e3o concorda? Nem eu.<\/p>\n

Mas, provavelmente, \u00e9 o que afirmar\u00e1 a FINA em sua festa de premia\u00e7\u00e3o dos melhores do ano, que acontecer\u00e1 em 31 de janeiro de 2016, em Budapeste, na Hungria.<\/p>\n

E a pol\u00eamica da escolha da melhor de 2014 se repetir\u00e1, quando a mesma Katinka foi escolhida em favor da americana Katie Ledecky, que naquele ano destro\u00e7ou recordes nos 400m, 800m e 1500m e era vista como uma barbada para ganhar o pr\u00eamio.<\/p>\n

Naquela ocasi\u00e3o, a escolha foi feita por um painel de jornalistas, t\u00e9cnicos, dirigentes e ex-atletas.<\/p>\n

Para a escolha dos melhores de 2015, a FINA anunciou que n\u00e3o haver\u00e1 vota\u00e7\u00e3o. Ao inv\u00e9s disso, elaborou um sistema de pontua\u00e7\u00e3o, que atribui pontos aos nadadores com base em t\u00edtulos mundiais, ol\u00edmpicos e de Copa do Mundo, recordes mundiais e coloca\u00e7\u00f5es no ranking mundial (clique aqui<\/a> para detalhes).<\/p>\n

E \u00e9 a\u00ed que a coisa pega. Para a FINA, recordes mundiais e coloca\u00e7\u00f5es no ranking mundial t\u00eam o mesmo peso tanto em piscina longa quanto curta. No m\u00ednimo question\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n

Mais grave ainda: n\u00e3o \u00e9 o caso de 2015, mas em um ano com Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos e Mundial em piscina de 25m, de acordo com o sistema, um t\u00edtulo ol\u00edmpico vale a mesma pontua\u00e7\u00e3o que o de um mundial de curta! Este sim um absurdo sem precedentes.<\/p>\n

Katinka Hosszu \u00e9 uma nadadora fabulosa. Um dos fen\u00f4menos da nossa era. Mas Katie Ledecky deixou todos abismados no Mundial de Kazan e mostrou uma superioridade dificilmente vista no esporte. A \u00faltima vez que hav\u00edamos visto tal hegemonia havia sido com um certo Michael Phelps.<\/p>\n

E mesmo assim a americana corre o s\u00e9rio risco de perder novamente o t\u00edtulo de melhor do mundo. Pois Katinka brilha em piscina de 25 metros, e \u00e9 o que est\u00e1 fazendo exatamente agora no Campeonato Europeu, em Netanya, Israel.<\/p>\n

Neste momento, as duas nadadoras t\u00eam exatamente a mesma pontua\u00e7\u00e3o: 1030 pontos. Mas, ap\u00f3s ter batido o recorde mundial dos 400m medley ontem, Katinka tem boas chances de mais recordes nos 100m e 200m medley, al\u00e9m de mais vit\u00f3rias que podem lhe render boas coloca\u00e7\u00f5es no ranking mundial.<\/p>\n

Ou seja, fatalmente a h\u00fangara levar\u00e1 o pr\u00eamio.<\/p>\n

A mais longeva e tradicional premia\u00e7\u00e3o da nata\u00e7\u00e3o mundial, da revista Swimming World, foi anunciada esta semana. Katie Ledecky levou, assim como j\u00e1 havia acontecido em 2014. No masculino, o escolhido foi o brit\u00e2nico Adam Peaty.<\/p>\n

O fato de Ledecky ter sido a melhor de 2015 \u00e9 um daqueles raros casos que transcendem a opini\u00e3o. \u00c9 praticamente a verdade absoluta. \u00c9 unanimidade.<\/p>\n

A FINA, como entidade m\u00e1xima dos esportes aqu\u00e1ticos, deveria mais do que ningu\u00e9m saber que competi\u00e7\u00f5es em piscina curta n\u00e3o t\u00eam, e n\u00e3o deveriam ter, a mesma import\u00e2ncia das de piscina longa. E que a superioridade de um atleta sobre seus advers\u00e1rios tamb\u00e9m deve ser um crit\u00e9rio a ser considerado na escolha do melhor do mundo.<\/p>\n

Apenas o fato de se elaborar um crit\u00e9rio objetivo n\u00e3o traz confiabilidade \u00e0 escolha. Pelo contr\u00e1rio, se os crit\u00e9rios n\u00e3o forem razo\u00e1veis.<\/p>\n

E, com isso, o pr\u00eamio, que j\u00e1 foi duvidoso ano passado, vai perdendo cada vez mais a credibilidade.<\/p>\n

Nem bem o sistema de pontua\u00e7\u00e3o foi adotado, j\u00e1 se clama por mudan\u00e7as. E, se n\u00e3o ocorrerem, o pr\u00eamio da FINA corre o risco de em um futuro bem pr\u00f3ximo n\u00e3o passar de apenas mais uma nota de rodap\u00e9.<\/p>\n
