Devido a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o ol\u00edmpica para os Jogos de Paris, Marcelo Chierighini, Jo\u00e3o Gomes Jr e Victor Alcar\u00e1 n\u00e3o ir\u00e3o mais participar do Campeonato Guilherme Guido 2024. O trio, que iria fazer demonstra\u00e7\u00f5es para os jovens talentos do evento, estar\u00e3o em a\u00e7\u00e3o em um torneio na Fran\u00e7a. Desta forma os tr\u00eas ser\u00e3o substituidos por Caio Pumputis e Beatriz Bezerra.<\/p>\n
A novo dupla se juntar\u00e1 a Guilherme Guido e Aimee Louise e os quatro far\u00e3o uma demonstra\u00e7\u00e3o de revezamento 4x50m medley, j\u00e1 que cada um \u00e9 especialista em um nado: Guido (costas), Pumputis (peito), Beatriz (borboleta) e Aimee (livre). O revezamento 4x50m medley misto passou a ser disputado em Mundiais de piscina curta desde a edi\u00e7\u00e3o Doha-2014. Na ocasi\u00e3o, a equipe brasileira formada por Etiene Medeiros, Felipe Fran\u00e7a, Nicholas Santos e Larris Oliveria foi a primeira campe\u00e3 mundial da prova batendo o recorde sul-americano, que segue vigente at\u00e9 hoje, com 1min37s26. Desde ent\u00e3o a prova passou a fazer parte da programa\u00e7\u00e3o oficial e tem os Estados Unidos como o maior campe\u00e3o da prova em Mundiais com tr\u00eas ouros.<\/p>\n
Al\u00e9m da vit\u00f3ria em Doha-2014, o Brasil tamb\u00e9m foi ao p\u00f3dio na edi\u00e7\u00e3o de Windsor-2016 com Etiene Medeiros, Felipe Lima, Nicholas Santos e Larissa Oliveira, que ganharam a medalha de prata na ocasi\u00e3o. Atualmente, o recorde mundial da prova pertence aos Estados Unidos (Ryan Murphy, Nic Fink, Kate Douglass e Tori Huske) que estabeleceu a marca de 1min35s15 no Mundial de Melbourne-2022.<\/p>\n
O 4x100m medley misto \u00e9 disputado em eventos internacionais somente na piscina longa. No Mundial de Esportes Aqu\u00e1ticos esta prova faz parte do calend\u00e1rio desde a edi\u00e7\u00e3o de Kazan-2015, que viu a equipe do Reino Unido, formada por Chris Walker-Hebborn, Adam Peaty, Siobhan-Marie O’Connor e Fran Halsall ser coroada campe\u00e3 com novo recorde mundial: 3min41s71. A prova tamb\u00e9m foi adicionada a outros eventos internacionais, tendo sido disputada pela primeira vez em Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos na edi\u00e7\u00e3o de T\u00f3quio-2020. Na ocasi\u00e3o o Reino Unido venceu a prova com novo recorde mundial de 3min37s58, tendo a China em segundo lugar e a Austr\u00e1lia em terceiro. J\u00e1 o Brasil ficou em 14\u00ba lugar. A prova estreou no programa o Jogos Pan-Americanos em Lima-2019, quando o quarteto brasileiro Guilherme Guido, Jo\u00e3o Gomes J\u00fanior, Giovanna Diamante e Larissa Oliveira levou a medalha de ouro com 3min48s61.<\/p>\n
O Brasil nunca foi ao p\u00f3dio nesta prova em Mundiais, mas soma tr\u00eas participa\u00e7\u00f5es tendo o 9\u00ba lugar em Kazan-2015 e em Budapeste-2022 como melhores coloca\u00e7\u00f5es.\u00a0Atualmente o recorde mundial do 4x100m medley misto na piscina longa pertence ao time brit\u00e2nico feito na final ol\u00edmpica de T\u00f3quio.
