O time da Mormaii Nata\u00e7\u00e3o tem um novo membro. Trata-se do nadador ol\u00edmpico Guilherme Basseto, que esteve nos Jogos de T\u00f3quio-2020 e disputar\u00e1 daqui alguns dias os Jogos de Paris. Aos 27 anos de idade, Basseto se firmou nos \u00faltimos anos como o principal nadador brasileiro no nado costas e em Paris far\u00e1 parte da equipe que nadar\u00e1 o revezamento 4x100m medley misto.<\/p>\n

Natural de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto, Basseto passou a integrar a sele\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira principal a partir de 2017, quando disputou em Taipei as Univers\u00edades. No ano seguinte ele disputou seu primeiro Campeonato Mundial, o de curta em Hangzhou onde foi semifinalista nos 50m e 100m costas. Em 2021 ele brilhou na seletiva ol\u00edmpica, vencendo a prova dos 100m costas e fazendo o \u00edndice com o tempo de 53s84.<\/p>\n

Em T\u00f3quio Basseto ficou em 20\u00ba lugar nos 100m costas e em 14\u00ba lugar com o revezamento 4x100m medley misto. Em 2022 ele nadou o Mundial de Fukuoka ficando muito pr\u00f3ximo da final dos 50m costas, para ser mais exato, a 24 cent\u00e9simos, terminando em 10\u00ba lugar. No ano passado ele foi medalhista com os revezamentos 4x100m medley (prata) e 4x100m medley misto (bronze) nos Jogos Pan-Americanos de Santiago.<\/p>\n

Na seletiva ol\u00edmpica deste ano, o atleta da Unisanta foi o melhor nadador do pa\u00eds na prova dos 100m costas, mas n\u00e3o conseguiu fazer o \u00edndice para a prova individual e foi convocado para compor a delega\u00e7\u00e3o do Brasil para mais uma vez nadar o revezamento 4x100m medley misto ao lado de Ana Vieira, Kayky Mota e Stephanie Balduccini.<\/p>\n

“Quando os Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos se aproximam, \u00e9 tudo ou nada. O atleta molda a sua vida toda somente para este momento. Ent\u00e3o, a minha expectativa \u00e9 muito boa para os Jogos. Seria \u00f3timo conquistar uma vaga na final do revezamento 4x100m medley e estar entre as oito melhores equipes do mundo. E na final, tudo pode acontecer”, afirma Basseto.<\/p>\n

Com isso o time da Mormaii Nata\u00e7\u00e3o ter\u00e1 em Paris tr\u00eas atletas, j\u00e1 que Fernando Scheffer e Maria Paula Heitmann tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o atletas da marca e estar\u00e3o em a\u00e7\u00e3o na capital francesa.
