Nesta quinta-feira (26) no \u00faltimo desafio de nata\u00e7\u00e3o da Big Island Swim Association (BISA), o ultramaratonista aqu\u00e1tico Glauco Rangel, de 52 anos, completou o percurso de 16 km em tempo recorde. Natural de Ourinhos, S\u00e3o Paulo, Glauco foi treinado por Igor de Souza e finalizou a travessia em\u00a0 3h51min18s, estabelecendo uma nova marca na hist\u00f3ria do evento.<\/p>\n

Desde o in\u00edcio do desafio ele mostrou um ritmo constante e uma t\u00e9cnica apurada, fruto de anos de dedica\u00e7\u00e3o e treinamento sob a supervis\u00e3o do experiente Igor de Souza.<\/p>\n

\u201cFoi uma prova muito desgastante, mas eu estava bem preparado e focado. Agrade\u00e7o ao Igor por todo o apoio e treinamento, e \u00e0 minha fam\u00edlia por sempre acreditar em mim. Esse recorde \u00e9 resultado de muito esfor\u00e7o e dedica\u00e7\u00e3o\u201d, declarou Glauco emocionado ap\u00f3s cruzar a linha de chegada.<\/p>\n

O desafio foi realizado na Ilha Grande, no Rio de Janeiro, considerada Patrim\u00f4nio Natural e Cultural da Humanidade pela Unesco. Em um dia com \u00e1guas tranquilas, ventos favor\u00e1veis e temperatura da \u00e1gua em torno de 24\u00baC durante todo o tempo, o evento ofereceu condi\u00e7\u00f5es para a prova contra o rel\u00f3gio.<\/p>\n

“O feito de Glauco Rangel serve de inspira\u00e7\u00e3o para atletas de todas as idades, mostrando que com determina\u00e7\u00e3o e uma boa prepara\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel alcan\u00e7ar grandes objetivos, independentemente das adversidades”, comentou Renato Ribeiro, um dos organizadores da prova.<\/p>\n
