J\u00e1 Guilherme Carib\u00e9 n\u00e3o fez uma boa prova e n\u00e3o conseguiu atingir a velocidade desejada para obter a classifiac\u00e7\u00e3o, parando nas eliminat\u00f3rias dos 50m livre. \nMelhor tempo para a chinesa Xuwei Peng, uma das tr\u00eas atletas a nadar na casa de 2min08s. Peng liderou a sess\u00e3o com 2min08s29, sendo seguida pela canadense Kylie Masse que nadou para 2min08s54 e pela australiana Kaylee McKeown. A atual campe\u00e3 ol\u00edmpica administrou demais a prova, poupando energia e marcando 2min08s89. Regan Smith, vice-campe\u00e3 nos 100m costas, passou com sexto melhor tempo ao fazer 2min09s61.<\/p>\n

\nGuilherme Carib\u00e9 n\u00e3o fez uma boa prova e n\u00e3o conseguiu avan\u00e7ar para a semifinal. Com 22s31, o brasileiro n\u00e3o conseguiu ter uma grande velocidade de nado e acabou somente na 33\u00aa coloca\u00e7\u00e3o. O melhor tempo foi do australiano Cameron McEvoy que sobrou com 21s32 e mostrou que pode ser ainda mais veloz a tarde. Jordan Crooks das Ilhas Cayman fez o segundo tempo com 21s51 e o her\u00f3i nacional Florent Manaudou anotou o terceiro tempo com 21s54, levando a La Defense Arena a loucura. Ao todo tivemos 17 nadadores na casa dos 21 segundos, com o americano Chris Giuliano ficando de fora das semifinais com 21s97. O atual campe\u00e3o ol\u00edmpico Caeleb Dressel foi apenas o 13\u00ba colocado com 21s91.<\/p>\n

\nO japon\u00eas Daiya Seto passou para a final com o melhor tempo das eliminat\u00f3rias ao nadar para 1min57s48, numa prova onde nenhum dos favoritos a medalhas for\u00e7ou demais. Duncan Scott fez o segundo melhor tempo do dia com 1min57s77, seguido pelo grande favorito a medalha de ouro Leon Marchand. O franc\u00eas avan\u00e7ou com 1min57s86. Nas eliminat\u00f3rias tivemos apenas um nadador acima dos 2 minutos, o grego Apostolos Papastamos com 2min00s79.<\/p>\n

\nGrande prova do revezamento feminino brasileiro, classificado com o 5\u00ba melhor tempo e que por apenas dez cent\u00e9simos n\u00e3o bateu o recorde sul-americano logo na manh\u00e3. O time brasileiro nadou para 7min52s81 e terminou a primeira s\u00e9rie eliminat\u00f3ria na segunda coloca\u00e7\u00e3o atr\u00e1s dos Estados Unidos que nadou para 7min52s72. As parciais do time foram: Maria Fernanda Costa (1min56s89), Stephanie Balduccini (1min57s93), Maria Paula Heitmann (1min59s43) e Gabrielle Roncatto (1min58s56). A tarde s\u00e3o boas as chances de uma melhora de tempo e consequentemente, um novo recorde sul-americano. \u00c9 primeira vez que a equipe chega a final dessa prova desde os Jogos de Atenas-2004.
