A nadadora\u00a0Sarah Sj\u00f6str\u00f6m segue colecionando t\u00edtulos e feitos em sua carreira. Desta vez a premia\u00e7\u00e3o veio fora da piscinas. A atleta venceu pela s\u00e9tima vez na carreira o pr\u00eamio de Esportista do Ano da Su\u00e9cia no tradicional Idrottsgalan. A velocista recebeu o pr\u00eamio pela sua performance nos Jogos Ol\u00edmpicos de Paris-2024, quando conquistou a medalha de ouro nos 50m e 100m livre.<\/p>\n

\u201cDesde 2013, nado os 100 metros livre sem vencer. Mas durante minha quinta Olimp\u00edada, meu treinador (Antonio Lutula) queria me ver nadar a prova e ele estava curioso sobre o que eu poderia alcan\u00e7ar. N\u00e3o tinha pensamentos de vencer, mas tudo mudou quando bati minha m\u00e3o no azulejo. Obrigado por acreditar em mim”, disse em seu discurso ao receber a premia\u00e7\u00e3o, al\u00e9m de gradecer \u00e0 fam\u00edlia e aos f\u00e3s pelo apoio.<\/p>\n

Sarah j\u00e1 havia sido considerada a melhor atleta sueca do ano em 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022 e 2023. Ela \u00e9 de longe a esportista do pa\u00eds mais coroada pela premia\u00e7\u00e3o, seja entre homens ou mulheres. No feminino quem mais chega pr\u00f3ximo a Sarah s\u00e3o as esquiadoras Charlotte Kalla e Anja P\u00e4rson, a golfista Annika S\u00f6renstam e a nadadora Therese Alshammar com duas vit\u00f3rias cada. Entre os homens o maior vencedor \u00e9 o saltador com vara Armand Duplantis com cinco vit\u00f3rias.<\/p>\n

Em 2024 ela ganhou duas medalhas de ouro nos Jogos de Paris-2024 nos 50m e 100m livre, al\u00e9m de ser finalista com o revezamento 4x100m livre sueco que terminou em quinto lugar.
