O Rei e Rainha do Mar foi realizado com sucesso pela primeira vez em Jo\u00e3o Pessoa, no \u00faltimo fim de semana. A competi\u00e7\u00e3o, organizada pela Effect Sports, fez parte da programa\u00e7\u00e3o do Para\u00edba World Beach Games 2025 e teve quatro dist\u00e2ncias disputadas: Challenge de 4 km, Classic de 2 km, Sprint de 1 km e Open de 500m. A etapa na capital paraibana reuniu mais de 700 nadadores e contou com patroc\u00ednio Equaliv e apoio da Speedo.<\/p>\n

A prova masculina do Challenge foi vencida por Marcus Matos, da MM Desempenho Esportivo, que completou a dist\u00e2ncia com o melhor tempo do dia: 55min44s. A segunda coloca\u00e7\u00e3o ficou com Vinicius de Souza, da Vem Nadar, que marcou o tempo de 56min40s. Amon Gon\u00e7alves Neto, da CB Sports, fechou o p\u00f3dio em terceiro lugar com 1h02min49s.<\/p>\n

Na prova feminina do Challenge, a campe\u00e3 geral foi Julia Maria Freitas, da Acqua R1, que concluiu os 4 km em 1h01min40s. Maria Elisa Nascimento, atleta do Instituto Etiene Medeiros, terminou em segundo lugar com o tempo de 1h09min11s e Giovanna Moura, do Campe\u00f5es do Amanh\u00e3, completou o p\u00f3dio com tempo total de 1h01min27s.<\/p>\n

Na disputa do Classic, o campe\u00e3o no masculino foi William Butcher, da FEAP – Vila Parahyba, que completou a prova em 26min36s, seguido por Jo\u00e3o Pedro Souza, da Aquatica M3, e Hiury Brasil, do IEM, com 26min59s e 31min16s, respectivamente. No feminino a campe\u00e3 geral foi Rayca Ribeiro, da FEAP – Vila Parahyba, que marcou 32min20s e superou a campe\u00e3 mundial e finalista ol\u00edmpica Etiene Medeiros, vice-campe\u00e3 com 32min33s. Luciana Butcher, da FEAP – Acquari, foi a terceira colocada com 35min39s.<\/p>\n

Etiene Medeiros esteve presente em Jo\u00e3o Pessoa ao lado de uma equipe de 22 atletas do instituto que leva seu nome. A nadadora ol\u00edmpica revelou ter ficado emocionada em ver seus nadadores disputando o evento. “Hoje foi um dia muito especial para o Instituto, de estar aqui presente com esses jovens, trazendo-os para um meio que eles nunca tiveram oportunidade de estar. O Rei e Rainha do Mar \u00e9 uma grande experi\u00eancia e uma grande li\u00e7\u00e3o de vida para todos eles”, disse.<\/p>\n

AInda tivemos a disputa do Sprint e do Open. No Sprint os campe\u00f5es foram Rayra Pires, da Instint, com tempo de 19min56s e Marcilio Onofre, da Acqua R1APCEFTM, com 18min35s. No Open os vencedores foram Luana Souza, da Foca e Nada Nzinga, com 10min08s e Vinicius de Souza, da Vem Nadar, com 5min56s.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m de Etiene Medeiros, outra estrela presente em Jo\u00e3o Pessoa foi o nadador paral\u00edmpico Phelipe Rodrigues. Nove vezes medalhista paral\u00edmpico, o nadador venceu a prova de 1 km do Sprint na categoria PCD e revelou ter curtido a experi\u00eancia. “Foi completamente diferente do que estou acostumado, como as piscinas, foi mais dolorido, mas foi muito divertido. Estrear com o menor tempo na minha categoria e no geral foi incr\u00edvel. E mais incr\u00edvel ainda \u00e9 ver o esporte crescendo aqui na nossa regi\u00e3o, ver pessoas de diferentes regi\u00f5es do Brasil aqui na nossa terra para prestigiar esse evento fant\u00e1stico”, disse Phelipe Rodrigues.<\/p>\n
