Entretanto, a n\u00edvel de sal\u00e1rios e rendimentos est\u00e1 longe de ser a mais premiada, pelo menos nos canais oficiais. A Best Swimming descreve o programa que premia os nadadores da Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Principal dos Estados Unidos da nata\u00e7\u00e3o e \u00e1guas abertas trazendo em detalhes os valores e crit\u00e9rios.<\/p>\n

\u201c2026 Athlete Performance Funding\u201d \u00e9 o nome do programa que est\u00e1 em funcionamento e paga mensalmente os nadadores que fazem parte desta elite d performance da nata\u00e7\u00e3o americana. S\u00e3o crit\u00e9rios distintos para a nata\u00e7\u00e3o onde est\u00e3o 60 atletas (30 de cada sexo) e \u00e1guas abertas onde est\u00e3o quatro (dois de cada sexo).<\/p>\n

Os valores, entretanto, s\u00e3o os mesmos, mas com algumas particularidades. O valor m\u00e1ximo que um nadador de piscina e \u00e1guas abertas pode ganhar mensalmente da USA Swimming \u00e9 3.750 d\u00f3lares. Para estar neste grupo o atleta precisa assinar um termo chamado \u201cAthlete Partnership Agreement\u201d onde ele se compromete a ter sua imagem utilizada pela entidade em campanhas e an\u00fancios. Para os atletas que estejam fora deste contrato tem a renda mensal de 2.250 d\u00f3lares mensais.<\/p>\n

Atletas universit\u00e1rios e pr\u00e9-universit\u00e1rios e que fa\u00e7am parte do time da elite recebem ainda menos. Valor mensal de 1.750 d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n

A nata\u00e7\u00e3o contempla 60 nadadores, todos precisam fazer parte da chamada \u201cSele\u00e7\u00e3o Permanente da USA Swimming\u201d. Ou seja, voc\u00ea pode fazer parte desta equipe permanente, mas n\u00e3o estar no time que recebe este valor que esta limitado a 60 atletas. O primeiro crit\u00e9rio \u00e9 o melhor nadador de cada prova ol\u00edmpica, na sequ\u00eancia o segundo, terceiro e quarto colocado dos 100 e 200m livre. S\u00f3 depois entram os nadadores com o segundo, terceiro tempo e assim por diante. N\u00famero m\u00e1ximo de 30 por sexo, sem exce\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Nas \u00e1guas abertas s\u00e3o quatro, dois de cada sexo, selecionados pelo USA Open Water Nationals, ou seja, os dois primeiros colocados da prova dos 10 quil\u00f4metros.<\/p>\n

Estar neste programa tamb\u00e9m tem algumas outras obriga\u00e7\u00f5es. Estar em atividade \u00e9 uma delas e ter o seu respectivo treinador emitindo relat\u00f3rios de treinamento e atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es para a USA Swimming. Os atletas da Sele\u00e7\u00e3o Americana Permanente tamb\u00e9m tem outras vantagens e direitos.<\/p>\n

Nestas est\u00e3o o direito de acesso ilimitado ao Centro de Treinamento de Altitude de Colorado Springs (sem custo), seguro de sa\u00fade, despesas de participa\u00e7\u00e3o (viagem, hospedagem, alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o) para os Campeonatos Nacionais e um n\u00famero determinado de Grand Prix da USA Swimming.<\/p>\n
