Depois dos 200m livre no primeiro dia, agora \u00e9 a vez da nadadora atingir a final A de sua principal prova: os 400m livre. Maf\u00ea classificou para com o quinto melhor tempo da manh\u00e3 com 4:06.63 e visa abaixar seu tempo nas finais da noite. Beatriz Dizotti foi a outra brasileira que tamb\u00e9m nadou esta prova. Ela ficou em 25\u00ba lugar com tempo de 4min14s22. A mais veloz das eliminat\u00f3rias foi a americana Katie Ledecky com 4min03s48.<\/p>\n

Na prova masculina teremos mais um representante do pa\u00eds nas finais de hoje \u00e0 noite. Stephan Steverink avan\u00e7ou para a final A da prova com a sexta coloca\u00e7\u00e3o geral, tendo nadado as eliminat\u00f3rias para 3min46s62. O Cachorr\u00e3o Guilherme Costa vai para a final B, ap\u00f3s ter o 10\u00ba tempo geral com 3min48s66. O outro atleta do Brasil na prova foi Artur Mello, o Saradinho, que faz sua estreia na sele\u00e7\u00e3o principal. Ele ficou em 20\u00ba lugar com 3min55s21. O mais veloz da sess\u00e3o foi o australiano Sam Short com 3min44s34.<\/p>\n

Por fim, Jo\u00e3o Gomes J\u00fanior caiu na \u00e1gua para nadar os 50m peito. O veterano brasileiro nadou para 27s16, conseguindo o nono tempo no geral, mas como tr\u00eas americanos nadaram mais r\u00e1pido ele terminou oficialmente na oitava coloca\u00e7\u00e3o e vai para a final A. O mais veloz das eliminat\u00f3rias acabou sendo o sul-africano Michael Houlie, que bateu o recorde de campeonato com 26s40.<\/p>\n

Nas demais provas sem a presen\u00e7a de nadadores do pa\u00eds destaque para os recordes de campeonato de Gretchen Walsh nos 100m borboleta com 55s28, de Regan Smith nos 200m costas com 2min04s13 e de Qianting Tang nos 50m peito com 29s59.<\/p>\n
